Description
The Ballena L brush is a piece designed in Mexico City and crafted in the states of Tabasco and Hidalgo. First, master artisan Julián Martínez from Nacajuca, Tabasco, hand-carves the whale tail using pepperwood. Once completed, the whale tails are sent to the town of La Flor, San Salvador, Hidalgo, where master artisan Diego Claudio Pérez carefully sets ixtle fiber onto the wood to create the brush. Ixtle fiber is a natural product obtained from the maguey plant.
